A1 Motorcycle Movers – Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by A1 Motorcycle Movers (“we”, “us”, “our”) to the customer (“you”, “your”). By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

It is your responsibility to read and understand these terms and conditions before you book with us.

1. Our Services

​

1.1 A1 Motorcycle Movers provides motorcycle collection, transport, and delivery services within the United Kingdom.

​

1.2 We transport new and used motorcycles, scooters, and similar two-wheeled motor vehicles unless otherwise agreed in writing.

​

1.3 We reserve the right to refuse transport of any motorcycle that is unsafe, illegal, or unsuitable for transport.

​

2. Booking and Acceptance

​

2.1 A booking is only confirmed once accepted by us, either verbally or in writing.

​

2.2 You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about the motorcycle, collection, and delivery details.

​

2.3 Any changes to a booking must be agreed with us in advance and may be subject to additional charges.

​

3. Proof of Authority and Ownership

​

3.1 You confirm that you are the legal owner of the motorcycle or that you have the legal authority and permission to arrange transport on behalf of the owner.

​

3.2 We reserve the right to request reasonable proof of ownership or authority, including but not limited to:

 

  • V5C registration document

  • Bill of sale or invoice

  • Written authority from the owner or dealer

​

3.3 We accept no liability for transporting a motorcycle where the customer did not have the legal right to arrange its movement.

​

4. Motorcycle Condition and Photographs

​

4.1 Prior to loading, we will take photographs and/or video of the motorcycle to record its condition, including any existing damage.

​

4.2 These images form part of our service records and are used solely to:

 

  • Record pre-existing damage

  • Protect both parties in the event of a dispute

​

4.3 You acknowledge that motorcycles may already have cosmetic or mechanical issues consistent with age and use, and that we are not responsible for pre-existing damage.

​

5. Loading, Transport, and Unloading

​

5.1 All motorcycles are secured using industry-standard straps and transport methods appropriate for motorcycle transport.

​

5.2 You are responsible for ensuring the motorcycle:

 

  • Is road-legal unless agreed otherwise

  • Has no loose parts or unsecured accessories

  • Has fuel at a safe level for transport

​

5.3 We are not responsible for damage caused by:

 

  • Mechanical failure

  • Alarm systems

  • Aftermarket accessories not disclosed at booking

​

​

6. Delivery Times and Delays

​

6.1 Any collection or delivery times provided are estimates only.

​

6.2 We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

 

  • Traffic congestion

  • Road works

  • Accidents

  • Severe weather

  • Mechanical breakdowns

  • Acts of God

​

6.3 We will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed of any delays.

​

​

7. Charges and Payment

​

7.1 Prices are agreed at the time of booking unless circumstances change.

​

7.2 Additional charges may apply if:

 

  • The motorcycle is not as described

  • Access is restricted or unsafe

  • Waiting time exceeds reasonable limits

​

7.3 Payment terms will be agreed at booking. Failure to pay may result in refusal or suspension of service.

​

​

8. Liability and Insurance

​

8.1 We hold appropriate goods-in-transit insurance for motorcycle transport.

​

8.2 Our liability is limited to loss or damage directly caused by our negligence during transport.

​

8.3 We are not liable for:

 

  • Pre-existing damage

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Mechanical or electrical failure

  • Loss of value

  • Indirect or consequential losses

​

8.4 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so under UK law.

​

​

9. Customer Responsibilities

​

9.1 You must ensure safe and legal access at both collection and delivery locations.

​

9.2 You must be present or arrange a suitable representative at collection and delivery unless otherwise agreed.

​

9.3 Any issues must be reported immediately upon delivery.

​

​

10. Cancellations

​

10.1 Cancellation terms will be communicated at booking.

​

10.2 Late cancellations may be subject to a reasonable charge to cover costs incurred.

​

​

11. Data Protection (UK GDPR)

​

11.1 We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

​

11.2 Personal data and vehicle images are collected solely for:

 

  • Booking and service delivery

  • Condition reporting

  • Legal and insurance purposes

​

11.3 We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties except where required by law or insurers.

​

11.4 Data is retained only for as long as necessary and stored securely.

​

​

12. Complaints and Disputes

​

12.1 We aim to resolve any complaints promptly and fairly.

​

12.2 Any disputes should be raised in writing as soon as reasonably possible.

​

​

13. Governing Law

​

13.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland / England and Wales.

​

13.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the relevant UK courts.

​

​

14. Amendments

​

14.1 We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

​

14.2 The version in force at the time of booking shall apply.

​
